BELOTERO REVIVE is an injectable skin booster that replenishes moisture within the skin and restores skin quality. Its ingredients are injected directly into the dermis, the layer beneath the skin's surface. Cross-linked hyaluronic acid and glycerol work together in what is called Dual-Action.
The key ingredients in BELOTERO REVIVE
BELOTERO REVIVE combines cross-linked hyaluronic acid with glycerol.
- Cross-linked sodium hyaluronate (20.0 mg/mL): Cross-linking means joining large hyaluronic acid molecules with tiny links. A substance called BDDE, assessed for compatibility with use in the body, is used to make these links. This makes the hyaluronic acid harder for enzymes in the body to break down. It stays in the dermis longer than hyaluronic acid without these links, replenishing moisture and supporting firmness.
- Glycerol (17.5 mg/mL): This is a key moisturizing ingredient that the skin naturally uses to retain water. It draws in moisture and holds it in place. It helps keep the water gathered by hyaluronic acid from escaping. It also reduces inflammation and irritation.
- Buffered saline carrier: This is the base solution that holds the other ingredients. It uses a phosphate-buffered solution.
Changes to expect after care
Less tightness and dryness within the skin
Cross-linked hyaluronic acid and glycerol create a reservoir that holds moisture in the dermis. They go beyond moisturizing the surface to improve persistent tightness and dryness from within the skin.
More radiance and better makeup wear
As moisture within the skin increases, the skin gains a fresh, dewy glow. Rough texture also becomes smoother. Makeup sits better on the skin, with less lifting, patchiness or powder fallout.
Improved fine lines and skin firmness
When the material between skin cells fills with moisture, it stimulates the cells that make collagen and elastin. This encourages new production of collagen and elastin, which support the skin's firmness. As a result, shallow fine lines around the eyes and mouth become smoother, and the skin becomes firmer.
Less redness and a restored protective barrier
Glycerol reduces inflammation and irritation and keeps moisture from escaping through the skin. These actions restore a damaged skin barrier, the layer that protects the skin. They also reduce facial flushing and skin troubles that appear when the skin is irritated.
Improved oiliness and pores
As the balance of water and oil returns, the extra oil produced because of dehydration decreases. There is less shine, and pores become smaller. Skin tone also looks clearer and more even.
Moisture that lasts
Unlike ordinary non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid hydration injections, this product uses hyaluronic acid joined with fine links and CPM® technology. This allows improved hydration and skin quality to last up to 6–9 months, or about 36 weeks.
Skin concerns it can address
BELOTERO REVIVE is a treatment that helps the skin retain moisture from within and restores its damaged protective barrier. It is effective for the following skin concerns.
- Skin that often feels tight and dry from within
- Rough skin on which makeup does not sit well
- Skin developing fine lines and early signs of aging
- Skin that reacts to small irritations and often becomes red
- Dehydrated oily skin that is shiny outside but dry within, or skin that produces a lot of oil
- Skin seeking a natural glow without an unnatural change in facial volume
How much does it sting?
- You may feel a brief sting or prick when the needle enters the skin.
- The discomfort you feel depends on your sensitivity to pain, skin thickness and the area being treated.
Ways to reduce discomfort
- Numbing cream: The cream is usually applied 20–30 minutes before care. This greatly reduces injection discomfort before the procedure begins.
- Very fine needles and a cannula: Fine 33G–34G needles or a cannula, a thin tube used to deliver the ingredients, are used. These help minimize skin irritation and the pain of needle pricks.
How many sessions, and how far apart?
- Starting course: Usually 1–3 sessions are recommended. To build a base that holds moisture well and improve the skin's protective barrier, 2–3 consecutive sessions spaced 4 weeks (1 month) apart are considered ideal. Depending on the skin's condition, an appropriate amount in 1 session may also establish a starting base.
- Maintenance care: After the starting course, maintenance is recommended at intervals of 6–9 months (roughly half a year), with 1 session each time, to maintain the skin's condition.
How long do hydration and skin changes last?
Finely cross-linked hyaluronic acid and glycerol work together, while patented CPM® technology helps the ingredients stay in the dermis longer. The effects can therefore last up to 6–9 months, or about 36 weeks.
Clinical studies and supporting data describe the following durations for each measure.
- Hydration and improvement in dryness within the skin: Up to about 9 months (36–44 weeks)
- Improvement in rough texture: Up to about 7 months (28 weeks)
- Skin elasticity and firmness: Up to about 6 months (24 weeks)
How long the changes feel noticeable can vary with age, usual skin dryness, sun-related skin aging and everyday habits.
Recovery and skin changes right after care
The skin's recovery period is relatively short, averaging about 2–3 days.
- Small bumps and redness: Tiny raised areas at injection sites, mild redness or swelling may appear right after care. Patented CPM® technology helps the ingredients blend with skin tissue, so these changes naturally settle within a few hours or by the next day (within 1–2 days).
- Bruises and needle marks: Even with very fine needles, small bruises or pinpoint bleeding marks can occasionally occur. They usually heal naturally within 3–7 days, or as long as 1–2 weeks. They are generally small enough to cover with makeup from the next day.
Everyday care afterward
- Face washing and makeup: To prevent bacteria from entering needle sites, it is best to avoid washing your face and applying makeup for at least 12 hours. Gentle washing with lukewarm water is advised from the next day (or after 4–12 hours have passed).
- Heat-producing activities and alcohol: A higher body temperature or wider blood vessels can worsen bruising and swelling. Avoid saunas, steam rooms, long hot baths, vigorous exercise and alcohol for 1 week after care.
- Firm pressure and rubbing: Do not press or rub the area hard, so the injected ingredients can settle well. Take a break from massage, deep-pressure facial massage, grainy scrubs and exfoliating peel products for about 1 week.
- Moisturizing and sun protection: Apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher carefully while the skin's protective barrier recovers. Use a soothing moisturizer too. Getting enough sleep and drinking enough water are also helpful.
