What is Shurink Universe?

Shurink Universe is an HIFU ultrasound lifting treatment approved by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (KFDA). Focused ultrasound energy creates thermal coagulation points in the deeper layers of the skin, inducing collagen regeneration and providing a natural lifting effect.

How It Works

A range of cartridges (1.5mm, 3.0mm, and 4.5mm) delivers precise energy from the dermal layer to near the SMAS. Dedicated cartridges for specific areas, including Ultra, Derma, Eye, and Booster, allow the treatment to be customized.

Q. This is my first lifting treatment. Will it hurt a lot?

A. You do not need to worry too much about pain. Shurink Universe is faster than previous generations, reducing the amount of time you experience discomfort. We carefully apply numbing cream before the procedure, and many people find it comfortable even without anesthesia because it causes only a slight prickling sensation, making it a lifting treatment with a low pain burden.

Q. How is it different from the well-known Ultherapy?

A. Both treatments use ultrasound (HIFU). While Ultherapy is a “high-intensity lifting” treatment that uses powerful energy for deep, definite lifting once a year, Shurink Universe is closer to “daily lifting,” using relatively gentle energy so it can be received more frequently to maintain elasticity without a heavy pain burden. We recommend Shurink if you want cost-effective, regular care.

Q. When will I begin to see results after the treatment?

A. Immediately after the procedure, you may feel an instant tightening effect as loose skin becomes firmer. As collagen regeneration becomes active within the skin, you can experience the best results as the jawline gradually becomes slimmer and elasticity builds over 1–3 months.

Q. Is there any downtime or bruising and swelling?

A. Shurink Universe does not create wounds on the skin surface, so no separate recovery period (downtime) is needed. There may be slight redness or minor swelling immediately after the procedure, but it generally subsides naturally within a few hours, allowing you to wash your face, apply makeup, and return to daily activities right away.

Q. How long do the results last after one treatment?

A. Although this varies depending on individual skin condition, results generally last from 6 months to up to 1 year. Rather than stopping after one treatment, receiving regular care every 3–6 months helps build collagen within the skin so that you can maintain a firmer, more defined facial contour for longer.

Q. Can I receive it together with other treatments such as Oligio or Botox?

A. Yes, we strongly recommend it! In particular, combining it with RF treatments such as Oligio or Thermage brings together ultrasound (inner elasticity) and radiofrequency (outer elasticity) for a complete synergistic effect. It can also be safely performed together with Botox, fillers, skin boosters, and other treatments.

Post-Treatment Precautions

  • Apply sunscreen (SPF 50+) thoroughly after the procedure.

  • Avoid saunas, hot baths, and strenuous exercise for 2–3 days after the procedure.

  • Avoid facial massage and scrubs for one week after the procedure.

  • Use plenty of moisturizer.

  • Stop using retinol and AHA/BHA products for 3–5 days.

  • Leave at least two weeks between this and other energy-based treatments (laser or RF).

  • Avoid alcohol for 1–2 days after the procedure.
